How to add custom theme

The name color can be changed by adding a custom theme. The following tutorial presents how to add a custom theme and change the colors, including the name colors.

Open menu in Telegram

1. Open the menu

First, we need to open the menu by clicking on the ≡ icon.

Click the Settings

2. Click the Settings

We have to click on Settings in the menu.

Click the Chat Settings

3. Click the Chat Settings

We have to click on Chat Settings in the menu.

Click the Browse Themes

4. Click the Browse Themes

We have to click on Browse Themes.

Click the Click Create a New Theme

5. Click the Click Create a New Theme

We have to click on Create a New Theme.

Then we have to enter the name of the new theme, which can be anything.

Select a conversation

6. Go to a conversation

We need to go back to the Telegram home screen and select a conversation. Any conversation can be selected, either with a user or a channel.

Open the theme editor

7. Open the theme editor

We need to open the theme editor by clicking on the theme icon.

8. Change colors

Find the values starting with "avatar_nameInMessage" and change the colors.

Then save the settings by clicking on the Save theme

Important: the "avatar_nameInMessage" setting only appears if you are in a conversation screen, or on a screen where this color setting is relevant.

Then, as you can see, all name colors will be blue.

This theme setting globally set the name color to blue.

Note: the setting applies to your own user and to all other users, as well as to all bots and channels.
